Manufacturer: Estes
Style: RTF, Sport

Brief:
A ready t' fly rocket single stage rocket which can take a real beatin' if it has to.

Construction:
Code Red has a cardboard airframe with molded motor mount which uses a lockin' rin' t' secure t' motor. Begad! Also molded onto t' motor mount are four plastic fins.

This be a ready t' fly rocket so no construction was required except attachin' t' parachute which was pretty simple.

Many have said t' nose cone was too loose and Estes seem t' have cottoned onto this as me nose cone already had tape round it.

Finishing:
This rocket required no finishing

Construction Rating: 5 out o' 5

Flight:
I have flown this rocket 5 times now motors rangin' from B4-4 t' C6-5.

On it's first flight, me bucko, ya bilge rat, it weather cocked slightly and then drifted a bit on t' descent. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! I believe it caught a small rock on landin' as thar be a stress fracture at t' root o' one o' t' fins. After this flight I added fillets o' plastic glue along t' damaged fin.

On another flight with a C6-5 t' parachute tangled very badly and it fell from t' sky hittin' t' ground hard, me hearties, but it sustained no damage.

Followin' this flight I decided that I would fillet all o' t' fins just t' add more strength, me hearties, nay that it needs it.

Recovery:
I feel that t' recovery is very good but it is slightly prone t' drifting.

Flight Rating: 4 out o' 5

Summary:
I feel that this is a great rocket for beginners and offers an excellent introduction t' rocketry since it is sold in a starter set.

This can also be a valuable member o' a rocketeer's fleet as it won't let you down easily, ya bilge rat, it can also be good for testin' t' amount o' wind in t' air.

Overall Rating: 5 out o' 5

An RTF kit that, with its red BT and silver fins/nose cone, is, IMO, one of the nicest looking rockets out of the box that you can buy. Components This kit has a plastic all-in-one fin can that can take a free fall a lot better than balsa fins tend to. /h2 Construction is very easy.  Simply tie the parachute and nose cone, to the pre-attached rubber cord.  ...

Brief: Let me start by saying, DON'T TRUST THIS ROCKET!! But a good starter, don't use a C6-5 though. Construction: The rocket has one tube, no payload. 4 plastic molded one piece fins alredy attached, this is a basic ESTES starter. The design is similar to the ESTES TIDAL WAVE STARTER SET. Works good on B6-4. This is an extremly quick build because CODE RED only needs the ...

This rocket came ready to fly. It has a very durable fin assembly. Reflective Body Tube is easy to spot in flight. Quick Descent Con's - Nose cone sits too freely in the body tube. A ready to fly kit with a basic rocket that looks cool! A great rocket for beginners. The kit is a starter set and comes with a Code Red rocket (already assembled except for the parachute) and a launcher & ignitor controller. Pros: No construction, except for attaching the parachute! Cons: nose fits on loosely, had to use tape to make tighter. Construction Rating: 5 out of 5 ...
