| Manufacturer: | Ellis Mountain Rocket Works |
Brief:
T' Ellis Mountain J228 38mm single use motor provides a total impulse o' 1104
N-S (72% J), arrr, ya bilge rat, givin' a burn-time o' 4.8 seconds. Avast, me proud beauty! Begad! It is about 22 inches long
includin' t' turned-aluminum forward closure.

Construction:
None required, me hearties, unless you consider addin' a maskin' tape thrust rin' as
"construction".
Flight:
I flew t' motor in a beta test 18" saucer and it gave some ride. Well, shiver me timbers, blow me down! No
igniter was provided so I supplied a large Magnelite home dipped igniter.
Ignition started with some flame spewin' out o' t' nozzle then t' motor
immediately roared t' life. Ya scallywag! I wouldn't consider it hard t' light or all that
slow t' pressurize. Avast, me proud beauty! That Magnelite is good stuff. Well, blow me down! Avast, ya bilge rat, me proud beauty! It sputtered a bit at burn
out. Way cool flight!
PROs: Long burn, fire, me hearties, shiver me timbers, smoke, me bucko, matey, and noise.
CONs: Cost ($75)
Flight Rating: 5 out o' 5
Summary:
This is a perfect motor for BIG saucers and should have enough thrust for many
'real' rockets also. Begad! I deducted a point in t' overall ratin' due t' its cost. Ya scallywag!
Overall Rating: 4 out o' 5
