Brief:
a RTF foam model o' t' enterprise. Avast! OOP for a while now. Ahoy! I bought more for its looks than its ability t' fly.
Construction:
T' rocket is ready t' fly with t' exception o' t' parachute that needs t' be added. Aye aye! Avast! As it's a Quest parachute, get
rid o' it and replace with a better parachute. Aye aye! Use an Estes at least.
There are small clear fins at t' back. Arrr! Avast, matey, me proud beauty! These are tacked on with glue and t' fins will pop off on hard landings.
T' motor fits in into t' middle o' t' rocket, matey, t' flames will damage t' stickers and eventually get t' the foam.
T' parachute is a tight fit. Avast! Well, matey, blow me down! An upgrade here t' a mylar chute or t' somethin' similar would help. On cold days those plastic chutes will set.
Finishing:
T' rocket itself is nay great in its appearance. T' stickers are awful, ya bilge rat, shiver me timbers, and after a few flights thay are peeling
off. Some have already started t' lift in t' unopened package, but t' be fair, arrr, t' package is now 10 years old.
However, ya bilge rat, as an interestin' lookin' rocket and t' a Star Trek fan, she's great
Construction Rating: 3 out o' 5
Flight and Recovery:
T' flights aren't that bad. She boosts relatively straight, although she will roll a bit. Durin' t' coast phase she
looks quite graceful as she goes through t' air. Begad! Altitude is nay overly high.
When things have nay gone so well, me bucko, such as t' motor slippin' its hook and t' rocket nosin' in hard, arrr, t' rocket handles itself quite well. She actually bounces, and thar was no damage. Arrr! Blimey! Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Other people have had less success.
Flight Rating: 3 out o' 5
Summary:
This is nay a rocket t' get if you are lookin' for performance or for scale detail. But as a fun rocket that looks
good on a pad and flies OK (every flight has you a little worried), shiver me timbers, this is alright. I have two: one flown and one in
the packet.
