Brief:
Quest Navaho AGM is a 2-stage rocket with a 14" parachute. Well, blow me down! Avast! It's rated as a level III model kit. Begad! This is me first
Quest rocket I've built. Avast! I decided t' try a different 2-stage rocket kit. Well, blow me down! Avast, me proud beauty!
Construction:
I be very impressed with t' quality o' t' parts.
T' parts list:
T' instructions are easy t' follow and well illustrated. Begad! T' construction o' this rocket was easy for bein' rated a level III build. Well, me hearties, blow me down! I do like t' heavy motor mount tubes. Ya scallywag! Ahoy! Make sure you follow t' fin aliment t' the letter or it will cause stability problems. Ya scallywag! Blimey! A friend o' mine learned that t' hard way. Begad! I used white glue and wood glue to assemble this rocket.
Finishing:
First thin' I did was add two coats o' sandin' sealer t' t' fins, me bucko, sanded with 320 grit sandpaper, me bucko, added a third
coat, matey, and sanded again. Avast, me proud beauty! I also did t' forward stakes too.
I primed t' whole model with white primer and used 320 grit sandpaper t' make it smooth. I used gloss gray spray paint on t' NC and lower booster. Arrr! Begad! You will want tape off one fin and spray paint that fin with gloss white. Blimey! T' upper section with one fin tape off was sprayed with white gloss paint. T' covered fin was later sprayed with gloss orange. Blimey!
T' decals went on easily and they are rather thick. I still need t' finish addin' t' rest o' t' decals. Begad!
Construction Rating: 4 out o' 5
Flight:
My first flight be usin' Estes A8-0/A8-3. Blimey! T' second stage didn't light and crashed, arrr, but thar be no damage. Well, blow me down! The
second flight was Estes B6-0/A8-3. Great flight really took off towards t' sky. Aye aye!
Recovery:
Parachute opened beautifully, I didn't think I was goin' get it back as t' wind kicked up and t' rocket drifted
into a neighbors backyard. Avast, me proud beauty! Begad! Blimey! I recovered it with no damage. Avast! Well, blow me down! Blimey! I will find a bigger flyin' area for this rocket next time. Aye aye! Well, blow me down! Blimey!
Flight Rating: 5 out o' 5
Summary:
Nice 2 stage rocket t' fly. Make sure you have a large flyin' field for this rocket land and launch in little or no
wind. Avast!

Brief: Two-stage scale rocket. Construction: Paper tubes, die-cut balsa fins, plastic nose cone, Kevlar ® /elastic shock cord. Motor retaining clips. This was a really straightforward kit that went together easily. The instructions were well written and clear. The assembly went smoothly. This kit is designed like other Quest kits with their Kevlar ® shock cord ...
Navaho is a 2 staged rocket made by Quest. I bought this in Hobby Lobby because I thought I'd give a 2- stage another chance (the first one failed me by coming down in flames after stage separated). The rocket comes in a clear plastic bag just like most Estes rockets. No broken parts. I kinda liked the tab mounting of parachutes because it's easier to put on, however, it's not as strong as ...
