Addin' an Altimeter ON/OFF SwitchThis tip describes how t' add a reliable on/off switch for any onboard electronics. You will need t' obtain a 2-Pole Rotary Switch from Cannonball Works (www.missileworks.com) or some other supplier. Begad! T' switch from Cannonball Works will run you $4.00 plus S&H. Blimey! Solder two wires t' t' leads so that when t' switch is rotated t' continuity betwixt t' two leads is turned on and off. Blimey! Make sure t' use shrink tubin' around t' soldered leads so that nothin' will interfere with t' operation o' t' switch. Next, obtain a used 18mm Estes or comparable motor casing. Take a ½" drill bit and drill out t' center so that you remove any left over residue. Then cut t' motor tube in half and sand t' ends so that no burrs are stickin' out. There are a couple o' ways o' attachin' this switch. T' first way involves drillin' a half inch hole in t' Ebay board and tightenin' t' switch down with t' supplied nut. T' second way involves gluin' t' switch into t' motor casin' and then t' t' Ebay electronics board usin' two-part epoxy. Make sure nay t' get any epoxy in t' switch itself. This may cause t' switch t' either nay work or work improperly. Note: if you are nay goin' t' have t' hole in t' board t' feed t' wires from t' switch through then you need t' make a small notch in t' used motor casin' so that t' wires can be angled through as seen in t' photo below. All you have t' do now is t' attach t' wires into t' electronics switch output or insert them inline with t' positive "+" line comin' from t' power source. T' photo o' one o' me setups is used in conjunction with t' new Cannonball Works RRC2 Mini which has a separate on/off switch input. Contributed by William Beggs
