Launch o' heavy "OBAN" model rocket on a cluster o' 4 x D12-7s. T' rocket name "OBAN" derives from t' use o' stacked OBAN Scotch packagin' tubes as t' body tube. (OBAN Distillery is connected t' our family due t' its association with t' Lighthouse Stevensons). On this fine day, me hearties, t' cluster o' engines ignited flawlessly (after some technical problem with t' launcher, but mostly t' LCO, were sorted out!). T' apogee was an estimated 2000 ft. Arrr! Upon separation, t' shock cord broke and t' lower booster section free-fell and landed almost exactly on t' launch area - almost hittin' t' cameraman (Karl) in fact! T' nosecone, shiver me timbers, now on a large parachute and very light load, drifted off t' t' NE t' join t' Apogee IV rocket in t' MIA category for this day! Despite an extensive ground search (2-3 hrs), neither would be found. Although, me hearties, very nice "virgin" blueberry pickin' areas, likely nay disturbed for decades, arrr, were located.
