October 7, 2009 - Masten Space Systems flew our XA0.1B-750 rocket vehicle in t' Northrop-Grumman Lunar Lander Challenge, level one. Avast, me proud beauty! Both Flights were successful meetin' t' required flight profiles and time conditions. Avast! We are now in a position t' claim t' second prize award o' $150, 000. First prize be awarded in 2008 t' Armadillo Aerospace. Two other teams are scheduled t' compete in t' competition window that ends on October 31, 2009. Level one requires a rocket vehicle t' take off from one pad, fly t' a minimum altitude o' 50 meters, ya bilge rat, move t' a second pad a least 50 meters away and be in t' air for a minimum o' 90 seconds. Blimey! T' rocket may then be refueled before is repeats t' flight back t' t' original startin' point. Arrr! T' accuracy o' t' landin' determines t' winner in t' case where more than one team flies t' required profile. T' average landin' accuracy for "Xombie" was 16cm (unofficial pendin' judging).
