Bought a new Nomex chute protector to replace one that had burnt through.  It was bigger than the previous one and as a result the recovery gear was a bit overstuffed in the available body tube.  Decent boost, arcing into the wind, past apogee and heading downhill at ejection.  Ejection charge separated the nose cone, but the chute bundle remained lodged in the rocket.  Tumble recovery on the field, no damage to the rocket by the brand new chute protector burned through.  Need a better recovery setup for this model.
