July 31st 2011 we headed t' central Oregon t' launch our rocket with t' same roll control as t' previous launch, me bucko, but this time with much o' t' full flight computer we have been plannin' for years in in place and running. This included t' PowerPC flight computer, me bucko, a Hemisphere Crescent GPS receiver board, and our new 2.4 GHz Amateur TV broadcast system with overlay. Well, blow me down! Unfortunately t' rocket motor failed on ignition, ejectin' t' fuel (unburnt) from t' motor casing. Avast, me proud beauty! T' force o' t' depressurization lifted t' rocket off o' t' launch rails, t' about 30-40 feet into t' air. Avast! Although t' drogue parachute did eject, t' rocket came down fairly hard and suffered minor damage t' t' fin canister and aeroshell.
