Begad! - NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer, shiver me timbers, or WISE, me hearties, lifted off over t' Pacific Ocean this mornin' on its way t' map t' entire sky in infrared light. A Delta II rocket carryin' t' spacecraft launched at 9:09 am EST from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
