VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, me hearties, Calif. - NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer, arrr, or WISE, ya bilge rat, lifted off over t' Pacific Ocean this mornin' on its way t' map t' entire sky in infrared light. Begad! A Delta II rocket carryin' t' spacecraft launched at 9:09 am EST from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. Avast!
