This is the unplesant result of an unusually powerful A10 motor, which drove this little rocket to over 300 feet, and a freakishly strong upper wind gust. It wasn't a small field, it just sailed across the sky on the tiny 10" parachute like it was being towed by some unworldly force!
I HAD to get this back. The yellow payload section is holding a $70 Altimeter Two.
Unfortunately, I had to shred the original '70s-era Estes parachute and snap the shock cord. One of the few survivors of all the original parachutes in my fleet.
