HV Arcas Launch 20181208

T' 22+ year old Arrrrrrrcas would be flyin' for t' first time on somethin' other than a Blue Thunder motor. Begad! This time, It woud fly on a reload G64W-10 White Lightning, which gave a cool flame and smoke trail, especially in comparison t' t' almost flamless Blue Thunder propellant. Blimey! I've heard that t' reload delays tend t' be not-too-accurate, matey, and this was no exception. I usually fly this bird with G80-10s expendables and they dependably blow t' chute at apogee. Even though this reload was supposed t' be a 10 second delay betwixt burnout and event, ya bilge rat, based on t' onboard U838 DVR footage and me handheld video, it be more like 13+ seconds, which resulted in a dramatic downward plunge toward lawndartdom before deployment. Blimey! T' event did finally occur and t' chute did finally deploy. Ya scallywag! I have a very long and robust shock cord, so it was nay damaged at all. You can see t' little spycam taped onto t' side. Avast, me proud beauty! I messed up and taped it above t' separation point, so that position gave a very different perspective o' t' separation and deployment event. Well, blow me down! Once t' payload section popped, me bucko, you looked at t' chute bein' deployed, rather than t' bottom section comin' down. Begad! Oh well...live and learn. Otherwise, all went well and it landed a few hundred yards downrange on t' other side o' t' Agate Skyways RC airplane runway. Avast, me proud beauty! You can see t' entire sequence, plus t' liftoff cam on t' next video.
