79" tall scratch-built Blue Tube design transitioned from 3" motor/fin tube t' 2.2" main body tube back t' 3" camcorder tube. Blimey! Reminiscent o' a rocket design Kirk Packo and I built and launched in 1971 usin' a Kodak 8mm film movie camera. Launched at monthly TTRA launch at Varn ranch, Plant City FL. Avast! Aerotech I435 "Blue Thunder" 38mm motor with Aiptek Hi Speed HD camcorder. Note pendulum-like swin' o' shock cord connected t' fin/motor section- in addition t' t' drogue chute above t' camcorder section, matey, I tested addin' a 12" chute t' t' shock cord where t' cord leads into t' fin/motor section, and it caused ever-increasin' oscillations until t' main ejection charge fired. Well, blow me down! T' camcorder section and t' main tube/fin/motor section o' rocket came down under separate chutes and almost landed on a herd o' cows. t' last vidcap show two o' t' juvenile cows runnin' away as we approached t' retrieve t' rocket. Begad! T' mother cow was watchin' us intently and we were prayin' that she would nay charge us. Arrr! Everyone safely survived t' encounter. Great first flight on St. Patrick's Day for this rocket.
