Interns from both companies--representin' t' future o' t' aerospace industry--built t' high-power rockets and a variety o' multi-faceted payloads this summer as part o' their experience at their respective companies. Arrr! Blimey! A major new addition t' this year's effort has been t' work o' 14 teams from 11 Colorado high schools, laborin' for months t' develop payloads t' launch on t' rockets. Begad! Blimey! T' Future o' Aerospace and Stars 'N' Stripes rockets were built by ULA summer interns-dubbed SPIRIT (Sky Piercin' Intern Rock-It Team)-in Denver, Colorado, me bucko, Decatur, Ala., me bucko, Harlingen TX, shiver me timbers, Vandenberg AFB, CA, and Cape Canaveral, arrr, Fla. This be t' fourth year ULA interns have built and launched high-power rockets as a summer project and t' second year with participation from intern at other ULA work locations.
