Brief:
"T' Triskelion represents t' highest standard o' Thrall technology" says t' face card on this unique skill level 1 rocket. Blimey! With its high quality instructions and laser cut fins, this rocket can easily be built in just a few hours.
Construction:
T' kit contains:
T' instructions are very well illustrated and are written in a logical fashion. Avast, matey, me proud beauty! Blimey! This kit includes a fin pattern sheet t' help you with t' correct alignment o' t' fins. Arrr! Blimey! You glue a CRP 50-55 centerin' rin' t' t' center o' t' template which you will use t' hold t' body tube in place while you glue on t' fins.
T' laser cut fins were high quality balsa and easy t' work with. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! You first attach t' fin tips t' t' main fins at a 90 degree angle. Well, blow me down! You can use t' fin template t' ensure your tips are square. Ahoy! Then, you apply glue t' t' root edge o' t' main fin and then line it up on t' fin template and let it dry. You just can't go wrong usin' this system.
Toothpicks are added t' t' fin tips for guns. After all, t' Thralls need t' protect themselves! Shock cord is standard 3 fold mount and t' 16" parachute must be assembled.
Finishing:
No decals are included in t' this kit, matey, me hearties, ya bilge rat, but t' face card does show a rather unique paint design far beyond me maskin' capabilities. Ya scallywag! I applied two coats o' Krylon primer with a light 320 grit sandin' in between. Avast! Avast, me proud beauty! I used three different colors o' automotive paint, blue metal flake for t' body tube, shiver me timbers, matey, red metal flake for t' fins and black metal flake for t' fin tips. Well, blow me down! T' automotive paint covers in one pass and dries very hard. Begad! I opted nay t' clear coat since that sometimes takes away from t' metal flakes.

Flight:
First flight was on a somewhat blustery day with winds at about 10 mph. Arrr! I used a B6-4 as me motor selection. T' rocket screamed off t' pad for a nice, stable, me hearties, shiver me timbers, and straight flight. Aye aye! Ya scallywag! Ejection happened close t' apogee and I recovered t' rocket with no damage. Begad! Second and last flight was on a C6-5. Avast, me bucko, me proud beauty! Man, that was a fast launch! T' rocket went all but out o' sight because o' t' low hangin' clouds but was again recovered unscathed.
Recovery:
T' parachute deployed perfectly on both flights. Aye aye! However, matey, t' 16" parachute allowed a lot o' drift and I had quite a walk t' recover it, especially after t' C6-5 flight. Arrr! Ahoy! I would recommend a smaller chute for windy days unless o' course you need t' exercise!
Flight Rating: 5 out o' 5
Summary:
This is one o' those rockets that is nay only fun t' build, matey, it is fun t' look at. Avast! Aye aye! Who says t' level 1 rockets have t' be your typical 3FNC? Apparently nay FlisKits! Easy t' build and a joy t' launch, matey, this rocket should be t' staple in anyone's fleet.
