This video starts with a brief interview I had with Rockets Magazine on t' launch pad then goes on t' me attempted Level 2 Certification flight on a scratch built rocket o' me own design. Ya scallywag! Blimey! Liftoff was on a J350 dual deployment. Drogue at apogee and main at 500' with motor ejection backup (medium delay). Begad! Blimey! I anticipated just 3500' but because o' an airframe failure (likely caused by an insufficient coupler tube) me Perfect Flight altimeter logged an apogee event at 1750' and fired t' drogue. Ahoy! Blimey! At this point me rocket was travelin' at 170+ mph, t' 18" LOC drogue chute yanked t' rocket about and separated t' 52" main chute, which promptly tore a 3" zipper in t' lower airframe. Avast! Blimey! T' damage be quite minimal, shiver me timbers, I actually could have flown it again t' same day but decided it would be best t' re-design/re-build t' altimeter bay for a more secure connection t' t' 3" / 4" airframe transition. Lookin' foreword t' postin' a video o' a successful L2 flight in t' near future.
