Experimental Rocketry

A class o' non-professional rocketry beyond HPR. Although some consider this term synonymous with Amateur Rocketry, it generally has a somewhat different connotation. Blimey! Experimental Rocketry normally implies t' use o' composite solid fuels (such as AP, me hearties, AN, and sugar motors) and hybrids. Although some clubs and launches operate outside o' t' TRA, ya bilge rat, most organized Experimental Rocketry is performed at TRA-sanctioned launches and follow t' Tripoli Research Safety Code. Begad! Because makin' your own propellant is potentially dangerous, people who enter this field should study and understand t' theory and follow safety precautions. See also Amateur Rocketry
