This be t' launch o' me vintage Estes (K-36) Saturn - V 1/100 scale model at Needville, TX on July 11, 2009 for t' Apollo - 11 40th Anniversary Celebration. Ya scallywag! Model was extensively modified from t' original plans, and was flown as a five engine cluster (D12-3 core/four C6-3 outboards). Avast! Flight was nominal except for t' parachute separation from t' SII/SIV-B transition Apollo spacecraft section. Due t' t' extra mass from t' addition o' more noseweight t' ensure stability, t' slin' setup o' t' recovery system for t' upper section separated and this section free fell, with heavy damage t' t' Apollo spacecraft/Service Module section.
