Estes Ventris - Jolly Logic Chute Release - Airplane Man by One-Eyed Doll
I mounted my in-flight camera facing upwards in the hopes of catching both the parachute deployment on my Estes Ventris rocket, and the delayed opening of the parachute that the Jolly Logic Chute Release allows. The Chute Release is a great accessory for smaller high power rockets, and even low power models, for people who don't want to chase after their missiles for miles - especially if you like larger parachutes. I'll be bumping up the chute in my Ventris from a 24" diameter to a 30", or maybe even a 36", for nice, slow landings. After all, I can get almost 3000' of altitude from it with the right motor, and having a free fall recovery down to 200' or so sure makes for a lot less walking. I also hope you enjoy the soundtrack (used with permission) - One-Eyed Doll is definitely a favorite band of mine, and Airplane Man just seemed to fit the video well. The flight was at Varn Ranch, on 16 July 2016, at the Tampa Tripoli monthly launch. NOTE: This is an informational/entertainment video with no paid product placement... I just happen to think that the Chute Release is a great product and that One-Eyed Doll is an awesome band, so I chose to share them both. https://www.jollylogic.com/products/chuterelease/ http://www.oneeyeddoll.com/ http://www.tripoli-tampa.com/
