T' instructions are t' "usual" Estes type. Avast! With diagrams for every step. T' tools needed are: pencil, matey, ruler, X-acto knife, ya bilge rat, ya bilge rat, glue, 3/4" maskin' tape, and sandpaper. Begad! Arrr!
All parts fit good without any sanding! I modified mine t' take Aerotech 18MM D and E motors, matey, C's are small for this size rocket! I just coated the centerin' rings with 5 minute epoxy t' make them stronger. Well, blow me down! Also used epoxy to put them on t' motor tube and t' put into rocket! I used yellow glue for puttin' together t' rest o' t' rocket. Begad! Begad!
T' decals glow in t' dark. Ya scallywag! Blimey! But if you are nay careful they rip very easily. T' rocket looks great when done usin' thar paint scheme!
For t' first flight o' t' rocket I put a 18" chute in t' rocket sense t' 24" is WAY TOO BIG! I used a Aerotech D21-7 Blue Thunder for the first flight. Begad! T' rocket had a great boost. Avast! Blimey! T' 7 second delay is just right for t' rocket too!
I would give this rocket 4 points. I would give it 5 points if they had put a 24MM motor mount in t' rocket sense C's motors are too small for t' rocket.
I picked up an Estes Prowler after seeing how well a very badly built example performed at my son's space camp over the summer. Despite being indifferently built with plastic model glue, having the wiggly fins stabilized with masking tape, and flown unpainted, the Prowler impressed the crowd with an excellent flight (and miracle recovery considering the poor construction. The recovery system and ...
My wife was out shopping at Toys 'R' Us with her Godchildren and being the good wife that she is picked up a rocket for me. She let the Godchildren pick it and I received an Estes 'Prowler'. I was impressed with the rocket selection power of the girls age 5 and 7. The Prowler is a Beta (beginner) series rocket. It is a large rocket and a basic 3FNC design. This kit was packaged in plastic ...
Oversized basic rocket, 24" parachute Three balsa fins, slots in the rear body tube section to help align them, 36 inches of tube and a plastic nose cone. Uses the standard paper shock cord mount. This was my first BETA series rocket, and everything went together pretty easily. The only tools needed are white or yellow glue, sandpaper, a pencil, and a ruler. The two tube couplers are ...
