While still a young guy in t' late 1960s and early 70s, one o' me hobbies was buildin' & launchin' model rockets. Begad! We'd build & paint them, then launch them on t' weekends. Here a group o' us gathered at t' home o' a friend near Rochester, NY and spent an afternoon launchin' our latest Estes rockets. One o' me experimental models went up only 10 ft before it hit t' ground and then popped t' parachute! I filmed this day with me 16mm Bolex movie camera on silent black & white film. I believe this be t' only movie I ever shot o' me hobby. Filmed: July 3, 1970
