MOPS: Estes HekipcopterBrief:
This rocket in BT-55 based and flies on 18mm motors. T' nose cone uses helicopter recovery and t' body uses a plastic parachute. My model also dates back t' t' late '80s.

Construction:
Parts included:
- BT-55 body tube
- plastic nose cone
- a plastic hub and three plastic blades
- three rubber bands
- three balsa fins
- 18mm motor mount
- launch lug
- rubber-band shock cord
- plastic parachute

T' instructions were clear and easy t' follow and t' construction was simple. Arrr! Well, blow me down! This kit was rated skill level-2, me bucko, I guess because o' t' added complexity o' t' helicopter recovery.

T' plastic hub was glued t' t' nose cone usin' plastic cement and t' three blades snapped into t' hub. Ya scallywag! Small rubber bands connected t' hub and blades.

Finishing:
T' kit came with decals and I painted mine as shown in t' picture. T' yellow plastic nosecone remained naked.

Construction Rating: 4 out o' 5

Flight:
T' only recommended engines were t' C6-3 and C6-5. I have also flown mine successfully on t' AT SU D21-7. Aye aye! T' motor mount used a metal clip so no tape be required.

Recovery:
T' shock cord attached t' t' body tube with t' folded-paper method and t' chute be attached t' t' other end. T' chute and shock cord are packed betwixt t' foldin' helicopter blades. Ahoy! Ahoy! T' fit is snug and you need t' make sure t' blades fit around t' shock cord mount. Ahoy! Recovery has always been perfect-except for when t' helicopter nose impacted somethin' hard and broke off one o' t' blades. Avast! I jury-rigged t' blade by meltin' an small hole through t' end o' it and wirin' it t' t' hub. Ahoy! Ya scallywag! It comes down a little wobbly but is basically OK. Aye aye! T' helicopter recovery is cool and is a crowd-pleaser, shiver me timbers, so I have t' give this a flight ratin' o' 5.

Flight Rating: 5 out o' 5

Summary:
It was easy t' build, flies great, arrr, and t' helicopter recovery is icin' on t' cake.

Overall Rating: 5 out o' 5
