This is a fantastic example o' why you should always double-check your gear before launchin' a rocket. Ya scallywag! I had placed t' safety cap and streamer on t' guide rod prior t' launch in an effort t' check t' wind direction and correct as needed. I forgot t' take t' cap and streamer back off before launch, ya bilge rat, and despite t' fact that t' cap is simply pressed onto t' launch rod, it offered enough resistance t' rip t' guide-lug off, me hearties, shred t' rocket casement, shiver me timbers, and send t' rocket off in a very UNSAFE fashion.
