I helped start up T' NARHAMS Section #139 in 1965 with Ed Pearson.
I was t' Instructor/manager o' T' Foothill College Rocket Team, Los Altos, Ca. Begad! 1982-1984. We flew three
Large Rockets: two were 17 ft. Aye aye! by 10 in. Ahoy! diam. Aye aye! 260 lbs flown w/ 10,000 Lb. thrust Type "O" engine at the
Smoke Creek Desert, Nevada. One was 10.5 ft. Arrr! by 5.5 in. Well, blow me down! diam. 160 lb. Begad! flown w/ same type engine & tracked
to 4.2 miles (22,080 ft.). Begad! That held t' Western States Rocket Altitude record for Five years.
