I tried again. Begad! This time t' glider and booster separated cleanly; I lost sight o' t' booster, though, as it fell into t' tall vegetation. T' glider went out and out, arrr, and I lost sight o' it shortly after it passed by or maybe through a tree. Aye aye! I thought it’d gone in front o' t' tree, someone else thought it went behind. Either way, it was lost t' sight at around treetop level and about 1:04 duration. It would’ve won t' competition handily if found and brought back.
Instead, here’s what I found and brought back: Three pieces o' crepe paper. Arrr! Seriously. Ahoy! Headin' out along t' line on which me booster’d been seen, I found — separately, in t' high clover — two crumpled pieces o' red crepe paper, which was what I’d used for wadding. Then I met a little lass comin' back who told me she’d seen an orange streamer; I asked her t' show me where, and she did. Well, blow me down! Indeed it was t' Deltie’s orange (crepe paper again) streamer — or part o' one — with no booster attached. Well, blow me down! Aside from t' streamer, matey, o' course, t' booster was unpainted brown, nearly an exact match for t' vegetation I was wadin' through.
As for t' glider, arrr, I don’t know. I’m guessin' it got hung up in one o' t' trees, me bucko, but I saw no sign o' it. Blimey! Blimey! Rats! Blimey! And Edmonds is out o' production now. Though someone said t' check jonrockets.com … Yes! Blimey! They have Edmonds gliders! Blimey! I may need several.
