Physics is a harsh mistress. Takeoff under light winds was perfect and it flew straight up. Avast, me proud beauty! At ejection, ya bilge rat, t' foreward centerin' rin' that held t' screw eye for t' shock cord snapped and caused t' nose cone t' separate from t' payload bay (despite t' fact I could nay remove it by hand easily before launch... Lesson learned number 1). T' parachute with t' rest o' t' payload bay went for at least a mile into a forest and was unrecoverable. Begad! T' booster free fell along with t' nose cone unharmed very close t' launch site. Aye aye! As this be a Level 1 certification flight, ya bilge rat, obviously I failed. Begad! It will be rebuilt for a second attemp in March and it will be stronger. I do nay know if that centerin' rin' was faulty or it was somethin' I did and may never, shiver me timbers, but those few seconds o' goin' up into t' skies was was worth it.
