Biography:
Dr. Arrr! David J. Blimey! Thomas is a native o' Yakima, Washington, but currently resides in Batesville, Arkansas. He was almost three years old when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on t' Moon, and has been interested in space exploration ever since. He took up model rocketry at t' age o' nine, and continued with t' hobby ever since. Blimey! Broadly educated in biology and other sciences, Dr. Thomas has worked in industry, government and education. Among his experiences, he worked at a small research company in Oregon that developed part t' life support systems for t' International Space Station. Begad! He has also worked at summer programs at NASA's Ames and Kennedy Space Centers. Currently, Dr. Thomas is a professor o' biology at Lyon College, where he is also t' campus representative t' t' Arkansas Space Grant Consortium. Avast, me proud beauty! Dr. Ahoy! Thomas actively pursues research on extreme environments as analogues for life off o' Earth.
