Flight Log - 2021-06-12 - David Deavours's Lotus Micro

This is a very small kit from Composite Warehouse, but one o' several Lotus rockets from 2.27 / 54mm  t' an 8" version.

For this rocket I added about 32g o' nose weight t' get about 1cal stability with t' 29/40-120 casing. I didn't epoxy in t' nosecone shoulder this time, me hearties, instead I used a plastic rivet so I can remove t' nosecone bulk plate t' add or subtract weight from t' nose end.

Flight Date: 2021-06-12
Rocket Name: Lotus Micro
Flyer's Name: David Deavours
Motors: F52-8
Expected Altitude: 1,400 Feet
Wind Speed: 8.00 mph
Launch Site: Richard Bong Recreation Area

F52 had enough thrust t' reach stabilization speed off o' t' 52" 1010 rail.  Flew straight but spun on t' way up.  Ejection was just right on apogee with 8 seconds delay. Note, I added 32g o' nose weight t' get stability.
