Brief:
Unusual single stage design. Avast, me proud beauty! Avast, me proud beauty! Recovery is via 18" parachute.

Construction:
Main body tube is 18" long BT-55 paper. Begad! Nose cone is 5.4" long hollow plastic. Ahoy! Motor mount is 2.75" long 18mm held in place by two centering rings and uses an engine hook as a motor retainer. Blimey! Blimey! Recovery is via an 18" plastic parachute attached with 1/8" elastic shock cord. Ahoy! There are three main fins with 1/8" dowel sticks glued on t' outer edges. These dowels extend t' near t' top o' t' rocket. At this upper attachment point thar are six small fins attached one on each side o' t' dowels.

While definitely nay a rocket for a beginner, ya bilge rat, t' instructions are clear and assembly is straight forward. Ya scallywag! T' assembly order was logical and t' needed templates where provided. Blimey! T' addition o' t' dowel rods t' t' fins and the forward swept trailin' edges o' t' fins make for a design that is very sturdy and nay easily damaged, shiver me timbers, even on hard landings. Begad! T' overall fit was good, but the dowels needed a little finessin' t' get t' fit snugly.

Finishing:
This kit comes with a great set o' water application decals. Blimey! Blimey! I should have used white primer under t' yellow paint t' get as bright o' a finish as possible. This design definitely draws looks at t' launch site.

Flight:
T' kit uses a metal motor retention hook. Well, me bucko, blow me down! It requires 4 sheets o' wadding. Avast! It DEFINITELY needs nose weight for stability. Avast, me bucko, me proud beauty! I added 0.5oz. Arrr! It is heavy and not very aerodynamic so it flies best with t' bigger engines. Blimey! A C6-5 barely gets it over 600 feet. Blimey! It actually flies very nicely on t' AeroTech D engines. Avast, ya bilge rat, me proud beauty! I prefer t' 24/40 reload system usin' a D13W-7. Avast! That puts it t' almost 1300 feet. Arrr! With t' extra nose weight it flies straight and true with little t' no weathercocking.

Recovery:
T' shock cord is standard 1/8" elastic. Avast! Nay me favorite material, but as long as you keep an eye on how it is holdin' up and change after every 6 or so flights, it works fine. Begad!

Flight Rating: 4 out o' 5

Summary:
Very unique design that grabs attention at t' launch site. Avast, me proud beauty! Don't forget the nose weight!!!
