Launched t' 379900 feet (72 miles) on May 17, 2004 by t' Civilian Space Exploration Team led by Ky Michaelson and Jerry Larson, and sponsored by GoFast Sports. Aye aye! T' rocket was powered by a solid rocket motor built by Derek Deville (www.ddeville.com and Korey Kline. T' motor produced a peak thrust o' 16000 lbs acceleratin' t' vehicle at 23 g's. At 10.5 seconds into t' flight t' vehicle be at about 40000 feet and travelin' at 3420 mph (Mach 5) settin' an amateur speed record. Arrr! After motor burnout at 49000 feet t' rocket continued t' coast upwards for an amazin' 330000 feet over 145 seconds before reachin' apogee. All portions o' t' vehicle were recovered.
