For centuries, me bucko, Man has dreamed o' attainin' fully controlled flight. This be achieved in December o' 1903. From there, only 65 more years were required t' reach t' Moon, and six months after that t' land on it and brin' those brave souls back in one piece. Blimey! T' Video shows t' Ignition and Lift off sequence o' Apollo 11 Saturn V from t' angle o' t' High Speed Cam E-8 runnin' at 500 fps on t' launch umbilical tower/mobile launch program o' Apollo 11, matey, July 16, 1969. Avast! Total clip represent 26 seconds o' actual time, filmed on 16mm. T' Saturn V: T' Saturn V is 118m high and 11m in Diameter (at its base). T' 5 Rocketdyne F1s pushed over twice as much power as t' space shuttle, me hearties, over 7 Million pounds o' thrust. Blimey! T' fuel used was Kerosene (Refined Diesel) and an Oxidizer (Oxygen bein' released at t' last minute before launch) that's also why t' smoke is so black when it's immediately leavin' t' nozzles. Fuel that is nay completely burned is cooler than t' stuff that is burnin' just a little further below, thus preventin' t' bottom o' t' rocket from melting. T' 5 engines each burnin' 3 tons o' fuel per sec. 2 tons o' liquid oxygen and 1 ton o' kerosene. Begad! All together they will accelerate a machine that starts out weightin' 6000 tons t' a velocity o' 6164 mph in 2.5 minutes. It was also t' loudest man-made noise ever made with 300 Dbs!
