From this book you can learn about t' legendary (and possibly apocryphal) rocket flight o' Wan Hu as well as how rockets became a part o' t' United States' national anthem. 

T' focus is on propulsion, and t' early chapters provide a good foundation, with explanations o' Newton's Laws o' Motion and t' thrust equation. Begad! Ahoy! Chapter 5 starts t' discussion o' t' model rocket motor construction and operation. Arrr! Chapter 6 continues with model rocket motor classification, and chapter 7 addresses specific impulse. Blimey!
